Library Closings
Friday, April 18th - Saturday, April 19th | CLOSED

From the Director's Desk:

It's tiny, it's cute, it's fuzzy... it's baby chicks!  Rollin' Hills Ranch returns this month for an interactive evening storytime, featuring live baby chicks!  Children will learn some fun facts about these special guests, and even get a chance to hold them!  To keep the chicks and others healthy, please no coughs, runny noses, or fever within the last 24 hours.

Children and homeschool families are also welcome to our Little Sprouts Storytimes!  Offered twice per month in the mornings, families will enjoy stories, crafts, and a light snack.  Afterward, visit our imaginative play children's area, featuring pretend play sets that rotate throughout the year.

Adults can join us for two beginner-friendly in-person crafts this month, including Cross Stitch and Watercoloring.  Crafting regulars and non-artists alike can appreciate these easy-to-follow templates!  All supplies are provided to get you started.  Not your style?  Don't forget about our Book Clubs that meet twice per month - one daytime hour, one evening hour - featuring two different selections!  Join us and join the conversation, just call or stop by the front desk to get started!

Registration for April programs opens March 21st, 10 AM

Tax Referendum Results

A huge thank you to the many community members who supported the Sherrard Public Library District tax increase question.  The initiative ultimately failed, but we are appreciative of the increase in positive votes cast for the library.  When we first proposed the tax rate raise in 2021, Sherrard Library received 234 votes in our favor.  Now, we are up to 555 favorable votes between Mercer and Rock Island Counties!

In the meantime, we are excited to continue to provide our many services, materials, and events.  We appreciate your kind feedback and continued support!
