From the Director's Desk:

Visit Sherrard Public Library District for festive events and crafts this month!  Kiddos (toddler - age 9) can get into the holiday spirit by registering for Santa Letter & Christmas Countdown Craft.  This two-part event includes a craft kit and a letter to send to Santa.  Letters may be returned to the library by December 9th for children to receive a response from the Big Man himself!  Or, adults can indulge in Warm Up Wednesdays, a morning hour with warm beverages to enjoy while you read and chat.

We all know how busy this time of the year is - and we've got take home bundles to help keep your family occupied.  From book bundles that are pre-packaged with a small craft and librarian's choice of books, to Movie Night To-Go packs with everything you need for a family movie night, these take home kits are sure to keep your kids, tweens, and teens entertained.  Little Explorer Boxes return this month with a cozy baking theme, perfect for ages 3-5 to enjoy sensory and imaginative play - paired with a library book.

Boundless Announcement
Due to the recent and abrupt closure of Baker & Taylor, the Boundless app is being discontinued. Users will have limited use of Boundless before it retires on November 17th.
Coming soon: the Palace Project app will replace Boundless with the full eRead Illinois collection, estimated to be launched this December. Users should note that current holds and checkout history will NOT migrate into the new app.
