RiverShare Library Group

The Sherrard Public Library and 19 other area libraries, both public and academic,  have joined to form a new Library Group. There are 12 libraries from Iowa and 8 from Illinois?. ? The 20 area libraries are cooperating to bring you a new catalog. The RiverShare catalog will provide easy access to the materials you want. As the patron of a RiverShare member library, you’ll: find that new catalog is easier to use, continue to get the materials you want and need quickly and easily, have access to online features from RiverShare Libraries, be able to check your library record, quickly search for materials and place holds. With RiverShare Libraries, local resources will stay in our area, helping to reduce waiting times for highly popular items. The new RiverShare catalog will also help maintain the Quad Cities’ unique history of library collaboration across state lines. Hosted by Polaris, the RiverShare catalog promises greater ease of use for our patrons, better reliability and cost savings for member libraries.

As part of the new RiverShare Library group the Sherrard Library will have modified hours the week we are transitioning to the new catalog system. The hours are as follows:

Thursday, October 27th 12:00- 4:00 PM
Friday, October 28th 2:00- 6:00 PM
Saturday, October 29th CLOSED
Monday, October 31st CLOSED
Tuesday, November 1st 12:00 – 4:00 PM

Thank you for your patient with us while we are transitioning to the new RiverShare Library Group!

  1. Hey, the new catalogue looks great! However, I have all holds I’ve placed listed as currently active. I also have several items I returned to the Moline Public library on Saturday listed as currently checked out to me! I’m hoping you can help me! I’ll be coming in tomorrow begging not to be charged for items I’ve already returned.
